IWS Messtechnik GmbH focuses its work con-  sequently on the developement and produc-  tion of measurement systems for material  testing and quality assurance in pavement  construction.  Our long-standing experience and the expertise of our  staff are the basis for our numerous new develope-  ments in the past, which were often incorporated into  the technical guidelines (force ductility, profile meas-  urement of the wheel tracking test, the lane tracking  system for high speed measurement vehicles et al.) During our successful work on several research pro-  jects for the German Federal Ministry of Transport,  Building and Urban Development we have proven our  qualifications and our high demands in precision and  measurement certainty. Creating and producing robust, easy to use  and accurately working measurement systems  with a high measurement precision according  the requests of our customers is our perma-  nent target.  We underscore these demands with the introduction of  a certificated quality management system according  ISO 9001:2008.  IWS Messtechnik GmbH is member of the German  Road and Transportation Research Association (FGSV)  e.V. and the German Asphalt Institute (DAI) e.V.. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Schmidt (managing partner of IWS  Messtechnik GmbH) is member of several FGSV com-  mittees, the CEN TC 227/WG5 (surface characteristics) and the ASTM International Technical Committee E17  (Vehicle - Pavement Systems).
