Both methods employ consumed materials (water or  sand). At the same time, the measurements obtained  by these methods are prone to operator errors on  account of the manual testing procedure.  In contrast, the measuring device  ELAtextur^®   is largely free of operator errors and operates  more accurately and faster. The rotating laser sensor of the ELAtextur^® scans the  pavement surface with high resolution.  The measuring device is controlled by an integrated  mini-PC. An integrated GPS-module is available as an option.  Evaluation parameters: - MPD (Mean Profile Depth)   in accordance with EN ISO 13473-1 based   on a semi-circular segment of the texture  - ETD (Estimated Texture Depth,   equivalent to MTD/ sand-patch method)  in accordance with EN ISO 13473-1  - profile evaluation regarding the aspect of   noise emission is in preparation (optional  equipment/ also available as back fitting)  The evaluation software provides a presenta-  tion of the measurements in a test protocol at  the work station.  © Copyrights by     IWS Messtechnik GmbH/ 2012
